Arrameus, Arra, and Cruziel, Cruz, are the twin fey warriors that are members of the Guardians... a supernatural police force basically that fights against the Shadowkin to protect the members of the various races. They were considered an abomination by their people because they were twins, an omen of sorts. While Cruz was shunned, Arra was embraced. But their connection is like nothing any of the other guardians have seen. They are ferocious and fierce in battle, extremely protective of their people and can predict each others moves. Like all the other guardians they've waited what seems like a lifetime to find their one true mate, their Nanta. Nothing could have prepared them for the broken shell of a man that they find locked away in a boarded up room.
Lee doesn't remember his childhood or much about the circumstances that brought him to be locked away, discarded and treated like an animal. Hell, worse than an animal. He bides his time anxiously awaiting the moment his body finally gives up and he can die, then maybe he will finally find peace. Instead, he's rescued from his windowless prison by two of the scariest, sexiest looking men with pointed ears that keep calling him Nanta and doting on him like lovers. While they are both sex on a stick gorgeous with their androgynous appearance, pointy ears and long blonde hair... something about Cruz sets him on edge, while Arra is tentative and gentle. But both men are over the top protective of him and he there is this pull he feels whenever they are around. Even in their first shared kiss, Arra is gentle and almost shy about it, while Cruz is passionate and crushing.
While the guardians work to protect their people and fight off the shadowkin, they also work to try and help Lee unlock the secrets of his past that are rooted deep inside his mind. Then the Delta center is attacked and several shifters are taken, and while the Guardians fight off the current threat, the shadowkin infiltrate the compound and Lee is put in harms way again. In the aftermath they learn not only the secrets that were locked inside Lee's mind, they come to realize just how important their Nanta will be in the battle against the shadowkin.
What I love about this series is the blending of all the supernatural races. That each race has their own Guardian and while these Guardians fight for their people, they themselves are just people of their race as well. They need love and encouragement to thrive, as we all do. Each one is on their own journey to find their mate. Each installment of this series is centered around a particular Guardian and how they find their mate, the struggles they have to come together and stay together, and how everyone.. guardians and their mates as well as all the people of all the races, have a part to play in the battle to come.
If you are a paranormal fan, this is definitely a series for you, but start at the beginning or you will be completely lost. This particular story has one of the most awkward yet completely sexy threesomes I've ever read.

Well this is the first time reading one of this Authors books it was pretty good and will be looking for more to come...
